In 2009, Chicago Interior Designers Cari and Melissa began their collaboration on a large-scale residence and formed a long lasting friendship and partnership, which now exists as Lewis Giannoulias. With a combined experience of 18 years, they have grown their company considerably since inception and have recently expanded outside the Chicago area with projects in Asheville, Los Angeles, London, Lake Geneva, and Greece. Cari and Melissa have been featured in many prestigious publications including Sun-Times SPLASH, Modern Luxury Interiors Chicago, Chicago Home + Garden, and Luxe Interiors + Design. In 2015, they were recognized as a member of Luxe Magazine’s prestigious “Gold List”.
Lewis Giannoulias’ repertoire spans anywhere from sprawling suburban estates to cosmopolitan flats and lavish vacation homes. They collaborate on ground up builds, extensive renovations and everything in-between. Their soup to nuts approach includes: space planning, millwork and cabinetry, lighting, art, furnishings and fabrics, custom furniture design and countless other design aspects. They love making each and every project feel special working with artists on commissions and procuring antiques from all over the world.
Their mantra, “Livable Luxury” is an intoxicating blend of beauty and comfort. LG Interiors’ practice is organic achieving riveting character development to reflect each client’s needs. Eclectic pairings of precious and conventional allows LG Interiors to create interiors with a fanciful meter of surprise and chords of low-key glamour. Aside from their well-curated aesthetic and departure from the ordinary, the organized and functional life in which they create for their clients seems to be the real luxury.
Melissa Lewis
Principal Melissa Lewis has worked in high-end residential design since 2005. In 2008, she was recognized by Chicago Social Magazine as one of Chicago’s up-and-coming design stars. Lewis has a love for interiors that quietly convey chic. Giving her spaces neutral backdrops allows her to feature her custom designed pieces that reflect each client’s personality. She appreciates the architectural details both existing and the ones she’s able to envision. The end result is always the same- beautiful interiors, which are individually tailored. She enjoys working with people and nurtures and values relationships with her clients. Melissa has a B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin and a B.F.A. from Harrington Institute of Interior Design.

Cari Giannoulias
Principal Cari Giannoulias’ began her career in high-end residential in 2008. Her design roots began while working creatively in the film and music industries in Los Angeles. It was in LA where she mastered the art of designing large scale creative campaigns for her high profile clientele. Her exposure to creatives, her avid traveling and her laid back lifestyle have molded her bohemian aesthetic into what she fashions today. Cari’s aesthetic can best be described as well mingled, mixing periods, styles, scales, textures and new with old. Her passion lies in the unintentional; however, her interiors appear deliberately collected over time with historical relevance and vernacular undertones. She believes style has no rules and designs interiors with a curated blend of interesting objects. Cari has a B.A. in Marketing and Communications from Boston University.
